Drive Thru Donation Event
With our eight charity shops currently still closed, for the time being, we will be running a Drive Thru donation event on Tuesday 21st July at our Holes Bay head office. We have received several messages over the past few months, asking when we will be open to accept donations, so have set up the event to ensure these can be accepted safely.
We ask that those wishing to donate pull into the car park between 9am-5pm on Tuesday, place items into the provided bags, to be dropped in the contact free zone. These donations will then be quarantined for 72 hours before being taken to the shops, ready for their reopening.
Unsure of what you can donate? We are happy to accept furniture, electricals, books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, toys and bric-a-brac, in good condition, as well as clothing and footwear. Soft furnishings need to have a fire label attached.
Steve Robinson, Chief Executive, said:
“In preparation for our shops reopening (soon we promise!) we are having a drive thru donations day. We are grateful for your donations and wanted to offer the chance for you to donate your items to us whilst maintain social distancing.
If you pay tax we can claim an extra 25% of all money raised from your items with gift aid, which doesn't cost you a penny. We are behind Mercedes and Premier Inn holes bay, look out for signs on the day”.
